All of my March tract club tracts had already been handed out. So since the month has 31 days, I just used different tracts. My son and I were playing racquetball, so I left a tract in the storage box in the court. See picture below.
I also gave tracts to the guy working the front desk and four others that were playing racquetball.
As we left, I put a tract in the bulletin board.
I set out at the beginning of the month to hand out all 30 tracts in the tract club mailing and document it here in this blog. My son and I went to the recreation center to play racquetball. As we were walking into the rec center a group of about 8-10 teens were coming out. I said to my son, “they are getting tracts.” I reached into my gym bag and grabbed a stack of tracts including my last microwave oven tract, the last of my March tract club tracts and handed them to the teens as they came out!

Since I work from home, I actually managed to not go anywhere all day. Makes it tough to hand out a tract if I don’t leave home. After dinner my wife and youngest son wanted to walk to the park. So I went with them. While at the park I was able to hand out a number of tracts including a “where will you spend eternity” tract to a couple.
After church we went out to lunch. Then we went to the sporting goods store to get our boys some new shoes. While we were there, a young man assisted us with finding some shoes. Turns out they did not have the shoes we were looking for. I said, “thanks anyway, you still get to get out of hell free” and then I gave the guy that helped us and the gal that was working there too Get Out of Hell Free cards. Now, I know you tract club members will be saying, “wait a minute, Get Out of Hell Free cards were not included in the March mailing of the tract club.” I know! Read on.
I went back to helping my son find some shoes. Standing down the aisle, I could here the guy and the gal reading the tract and talking about it. The guy started talking about how he is agnostic and even said he figures a god exists, but not sure who he is. My son wondered off to another aisle to look at other shoes. So I went back and engaged the sales guy in a conversation. I took him through the ten commandments. Then he had to “do some work” and the conversation ended. I chatted with the gal for a few minutes. Turns out that she is a Christian. I spoke with the guy a little more and offered him a DVD or book to answer a number of his questions. He declined. As I left, I handed the gal a “Where will you spend eternity” tract. I asked her to look for an opening to talk with him more and if the time arose to give it to him and ask him to order the “One Heartbeat Away” tract.
I had lunch out with my son. I asked the cashier if they had a microwave oven. He said yes. So I gave him a Microwave Oven gospel tract!
I just boarded my flight. One of the airline baggage handlers was standing by the door to the plane. I handed him a “Final Four” trivia tract. He said thanks. The guy in front of me said “my team is playing tonight.” Turns out he is a Michigan state alum. So he got a trivia tract too!
In addition to meeting fellow academy #13 alum, Stan, for dinner and a night of witnessing, I also gave out some tracts in what I’d consider “as you go.” for instance at lunch, I left the waitress a “microwave oven” tract. I also handed a number of tracts to the people I saw waiting in line at the resaurant for dinner.
Here is an easy way to share the Gospel “as you go.” At my hotel, there is a small table in the entrance way to my room. Each time I pass by I make sure there are a few tracts there. People pick them up. Then I replenish the stock.
I left a Microwave Oven trivia tract with the waitress when paying the bill at lunch.
We ate breakfast at the same restaurant as yesterday. When the check came, the waitress brought the afterlifecatalog pen that I had left when I paid the bill yesterday. The colleague I am in training with said, “what do you think this web site is about?” I told him that I had left the pen the day before and that it is my web site! Great opportunity not only with him. But makes one realize that these pens get seen, and get people thinking about eternity.
