Child of God?

We were at Richland College today witnessing to the students. I was talking with one of the students who is a believer. She was talking about how hard it is as a Christian in the college environment. I agreed with her. Then we talked about the need to be in the Word. We agreed that it is hard to know the truth when what the professors says is in conflict with what the Bible says.

I said, “many people think that everyone is a CHILD of God.” She agreed. Then I said, “but did you know that is not Biblical?” She was surprised. I showed her in John 1 that “everyone who received Him (Jesus) was given the right to be called a child of God.”

It changes your perspective. Look around at people you meet. If they are all children of God then there is no urgency to go and share the Gospel. But with this one simple verse in John 1 you see people differently. Some are children of God because they have repented of their sin and trusted in Jesus. Others are children of the Devil and are destined for Hell. How can we not be compelled to tell them the truth so that they can repent and believe the Gospel!

I would like to encourage you to go and share the Gospel. Join the Bezeugen Tract Club and share the Gospel every day “As You Go”. Join our Weekly Witnessing email distribution and come share the Gospel with us. If you don’t live close by, you can still pray. And you can also start your own witnessing events in your area to go and share the Gospel!
