“And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'” (Mark 16:15)
Dear Bezeugen Tract Club Member,
In recent mailings we sent a simple form with a questionnaire asking you what are some of your favorite Bezeugen Ministries tract designs. Not surprisingly tracts like Get Out of Hell Free, Are You a Good Person, and Thank you have topped the lists. But some other tracts have been mentioned that we had not printed recently. This month we are including some of those designs that you, our members, have asked for.
As summer ends, kids go back to school, and sports leagues start up all around the country. Therefore we are including the Play by the Rules tract, designed with kids in mind. Using relatable language and a sports theme, it’s perfect for the new school year when many children are involved in activities. Share it with young athletes to show that, just like games, life has rules—and God’s Word provides the ultimate set of rules. This tract was originally released in 2011. You can read more about the story of the play by the rules tract online.
The May the Lord be with you tract is often a favorite in May because people will say on “May 4th”, “May the Fourth be with you” or “May the Force be with You”. This year marked 48 years since the original Star Wars movie was released on May 25, 1977. It’s still popular and most everyone knows the iconic theme song and dramatic opening sequence with the background scrolling up the screen. The tract leverages that imagery to remind people that the Lord is always with those who believe in Him!
According to grok, “The phrase “Extra! Extra! Read all about it!” originated in the mid-19th century in the United States as a way for newspaper street vendors, often young newsboys, to attract attention to special editions of newspapers, known as “extras.” These were published outside the regular printing schedule to cover major breaking news, such as wars, assassinations, or significant events like the sinking of the Titanic. The term “extra” referred to these additional editions, which were printed to deliver urgent or sensational stories that couldn’t wait for the next regular edition. Before newspapers, broadsides—single-sided printed sheets posted in public—served a similar purpose, but extras replaced them as newspapers became more widespread.”
The Extra, Extra tract leverages this to attract people’s attention to the Gospel message printed on the back. President John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, at 12:30 PM. According to online research the news spread across the United States in minutes and around the world in about a day. President Donald Trump was shot in the ear during an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 2024, news spread rapidly due to modern communication technologies, including live television, social media, and global news networks. In the later case news spread around the world in less than twelve hours.
When it comes to the most important news of all, why is it taking so long? Two thousand years ago, Jesus said, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation’ (Mark 16:15). Yet, some still have not heard. It’s up to us, believers in Jesus to tell others. Hand out these tracts to make sure people hear the Gospel.
