First Thursday Prayer – November 2021

Thursday, November 4th, is the first Thursday of November and we will meet for prayer for our nation, leaders and revival. Since 2010 we have had groups meeting in various locations in Texas for prayer. We encourage others to join us at our existing locations or start a new location on their own. We now have five locations:

This months suggested ACTS (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) verses for prayer are:

Adoration
The Lord is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him. (Exodus 15:2)
Confession
I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah (Psalm 32:5)
Thanksgiving
Open to me the gates of rightousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD. (Psalm 5:9)
Supplication
On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah (Psalm 62:7-8)

There are a number of important prayer needs with elections happening across the country on Tuesday, November 2nd. Notably is the Governor race in Virginia. Here in Texas we have 8 Constitutional Amendments to vote on. You may like to use the National Day of Prayer Prayer Guide.
