Bezeugen Tract Club – October 2025

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)

Many times while sharing the Gospel I have had people explain to me that because they know Jesus, they can sin all they want and God will forgive them. Paul addressed this in Romans 6:15, “What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!” These are good opportunities to explain more of the Bible to people.  I had been pondering and praying about the new tract this month for a long time, probably several years or more. Two things happened recently that set the wheels in motion in my head to design this new tract that we call “License to Sin”.

First, a recent sermon I heard the pastor explained that salvation is not a “license to sin” but actually a “license to obey”. See John 3:36. In Matthew 28 Jesus instructs to make disciples and teach them to obey all that I have commanded you. John 3:36 indicates that disobedience means God’s wrath remains on you. Simply put, obedience is a sign of salvation. This really clicked with how I’d been thinking about it for a long time and got the wheels rolling in my head to design a tract.

Second, a couple of friends and I were in the Dallas West End sharing the Gospel. If you have not been there, there are basically three main areas. The DART train track runs east/west with a station on the west side of Lamar St. People hang around waiting for their train and are coming and going. On the east side of Lamar north of the train there is a bus terminal area where lots of people again are milling around getting on and off buses. We frequent this area because we often park in such a way that this area is between our parking and the train stop. On the south side of the tracts there is another bus stop. I don’t tend to go to this area as much. But one day recently, I had ventured to this area and was handing out tracts and talking to people. One man said, “that’s ok, I know Jesus, and he has given me a license to sin”. Before I could hardly respond he stepped onto the bus and was gone.

I played with several ideas of how to capture this in a tract. I got input from several people. We hope the final version turns out to lead to many great conversations with people.

October is often referred to as Cancer Awareness month. At Bezeugen Ministries we have had many close friends and tract club members who have personally been impacted by cancer. Some of them are with the Lord now. This tract was made to honor them and share with the world that there is a real “cancer” called sin that must be remediated. You can read more about the story of the cancer awareness tract online at https://www.bezeugentractclub.org/?p=959

Finally, October brings Halloween. Halloween is a great opportunity to share the Gospel. You have kids coming directly to your door and asking “trick or treat”. Why not give them a “treat” like a chocolate bar or some candy along with a Gospel tract. Nearly any tract will do, but we are including a special Halloween tract that was developed several years ago. In addition to trick or treating at your house, many churches have “trunk or treats” and communities have fun family friendly events. You can hand out tracts to attendees of these events. If you need more tracts for your Halloween outreaches, they can be requested online. You can read more about that tract online.

You can also multiply, your efforts! Encourage your friends to join the Bezeugen Tract Club. Then they can also hand out 30 FREE tracts per month. Tell them to go to “Enroll dot tract dot club”.
