First Thursday Prayer April 2020

Since May 2010 we have been having a monthly prayer meeting at City Hall in Carrollton, Texas and at HOBI International in Dallas, Texas. Several other locations have participated at times. It’s critical that we pray for our nation, leaders and revival. At this time where the whole world is dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic, please join in prayer from where ever you may be. The verses below may be used for the ACTS model of prayer: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. Typically we will read a verse then pray for Adoration, read the next verse then pray prayers of confessions. Etc.

Adoration
This God—his way is perfect;
the word of the Lord proves true;
he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. (Psalm 18:30)
Confession
Have mercy on me,[a] O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin!
For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is ever before me.
Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you may be justified in your words
and blameless in your judgment.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being,
and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
and blot out all my iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right[b] spirit within me. (Psalm 51:1-10)
Thanksgiving
Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. (Hebrews 13:15)
Supplication
Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. (Matthew 6:9-13)

Due to the Dallas County Shelter in Place Order this months prayer meeting will be virtual. Please post your prayers in the comments of this BLOG post or in the Facebook event.
