Thank You

Day 150915: Chick-fil-a

Even when I got to Chick-Fil-A I hand out tracts. Some say it is not necessary because “everyone who works there is already a Christian.” I don’t know if they are a Christian or not, especially until talking to them. And handing them a tract is an easy way to get them talking.

I gave a Who is described by the the cashier.

One of the supporters of Bezeugen and I were having a conversation while we ate dinner. Several employees came over to ask if we needed anything, refill our drinks etc. One of them came several times. We told her about the ministry. I gave her a Thank You tract for her service. When she came back another time we told her more about the tract club. She told us she is in high school and is interested in sharing her faith. I told her how my son used tracts as bookmarks when he was in high school and that lead to the opportunity to share the tracts with the other students.

She was interested. Turns out we had some extra tract club envelopes with us. So we offered her one and told her that we’d send them each month if she enrolled. She was so excited.

Day 150826: CPA

We filed an extension with the IRS and had been working to get our tax materials ready to hand in to our CPA. Finally got everything ready. So my wife dropped off all the papers with the CPA this morning. Inside the first folder was a Thank You tract from the August mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club.

This evening we went to several stores to hand out some tracts. Purchased a few items while we were out. Here are some pictures of some tracts that were distributed. Gave one to a guy named Mike at WalMart that lead to an encouraging conversation. He is a believer in Jesus and was encouraged to talk about Jesus with me!

We ended up going to three 7-11’s to hand out tracts to the cashiers until we found one that actually had icee’s ready! At the last one I gave tracts to two customers as well as the cashier!

Today was my wife’s birthday. We went out to dinner. Gave a thank you tract from the August mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club to the waiter along with a generous tip!

Day 150807: at the Doctor

Whenever I go to the doctor I put tracts in the magazines in the lobby. It is easy to pick up one magazine, flip a few pages, put 2015-08-07 15.27.04a tract in the binding, close it, but the magazine down, pick up the next one and repeat. I must have put five tracts into magazines while I waited for the doctor.

I gave thank you tracts to the staff who helped out. The doctor asked me about my Bezeugen “as you go” wristband. So that was a great opportunity to pause, share the Gospel with him and then hand him a Thank You tract from the August mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club as well.

Day 150806: First Thursday Prayer

Today was the First Thursday of the month, so I went to Carrollton City Hall to pray before2015-08-06 06.49.43 going to work. I used the Patriotic Bookmark and Psalm 33 as my guide for prayer. I had several extra bookmarks and was able to give them out to some people coming to work and coming to pay bills at city hall. The bookmarks were easy to hand out. I simply said, “here is a bookmark for you… it has some scripture on the back.”

I had intended to try a new breakfast place near city hall for breakfast after my prayer time. But, when I drove over to it, they were not open. I guess adding breakfast to their menu didn’t work out! So, I drove on towards work. Yet, I realized, I’d never make it to lunch without eating breakfast. So I stopped at Einstein Bagle and picked up a bagel sandwich. I gave thank you tracts (one from the mailing) to the person who took my order and the cashier who rang me up!

Day 150801: Thank You

The August tract club mailing contains the following four tracts: 2+2=, Get Out of Hell Free, Thank You (v2) and Are You Ready. Along with the tract club mailing you can also access online versions to share on social media or text messages.  In addition there are two bookmarks. During the month of August I’ll be blogging about handing out one of these tracts each day.2015-07-31 20.37.01

Today being Saturday I went with my wife to two Farmers Markets. The Thank You tract is so easy to give out. So, I gave one of the Thank You tracts from the mailing to someone at the market. I’m not sure who got it. Because I also gave out another 20 or more Thank You tracts to others that I met. Some were people we bought things from. Some went to people that I simple spoke to, got a sample from, etc.

I also gave out MyCard (coming in November to the Bezeugen Tract Club) to several people. One of them I had a nice one on one conversation with and shared the Gospel with him.

On the way home, I stopped at the gas station. I broadcast on Periscope (@bezeugen) about putting a tract in the gas pump slot. While the gas was pumping, I went inside and also gave a tract to the cashier who had helped me.

In the afternoon, I mailed several more tracts in business reply envelopes and posted that video on Periscope as well.

Day 150730: Thank You

What? I know what you are thinking… The Thank You tract was not in the July mailing of the Bezeugen Tract Club! You are right! But, July has 31 days. I have one tract left for two days. So I am skipping the daily tract club tract, and handed a cashier the Thank You tract since she graciously gave me a 10% discount!

Tune in tomorrow for the 30th tract of July!

Day 150728: Periscope

CaptureBezeugen Ministries is pleased to announce that we are now on Periscope! We have done several short broadcasts already. Today I broadcast in the morning announcing the daily tract challenge, that I had three tracts left for the month. Then in the evening I broadcast again showing the distribution of one of those three tracts – placing a two cars crashing tract into a case of beer. You can download Periscope for the iPhone or Android device and then follow @bezeugen for more updates.

I also completed the daily tract challenge by placing a tract onto this thank you balloon. The #DailyTractChallenge was to put a tract in a unique place!

was a long line behind us. So I thought it would be fun to leave a tract on the railing and see if anyone would read it or take it. I left a two cars crashing tract. No one took it but several looked at it.

Also gave a Thank You tract to the cashier and left an Are You a Good Person tract near the soda machine.
