Holiday Witnessing

Tonight, I used The Greatest Gift tract at Walmart. I’d say “In case I don’t see you at Christmas, here’s a Christmas card for you. It’s a gospel tract”. Everyone took one. It would explain good to say “Happy Thanksgiving” as you hand tracts out this and next week. How can someone refuse a tract with a holiday greeting? Same goes for “Merry Christmas”! You could have a tract-a-thon at the mall or anywhere people are shopping! Let us know how you give out tracts during the holidays.

Hotel

When staying at a hotel you can leave tracts behind for the next guest in the room. Inside pages of the phone book or Bible are great places to stuff tracts. Some hotels have visitor guides for the area so you can leave tracts there.

Ok. So its three days before Halloween. I’m wearing a Christmas shirt, found some Easter tracts in the pocket of my jacket and turns out we were at a gas station on Christmasville Lane! But Gospel message is relevant any time of year.

And later in the day… I was able to pit out a Great Pumpkin tract too!

Truck stop

This bin on the wall at a truck stop was a great place to leave a few tracts. Notice it even says “solutions guide”. The gospel is the solution to life’s most challenging problems and even the solution to death!

Leaving a gospel tract with a generous tip is an easy way to share the Gospel “As You Go”. Please do be sure to leave a generous tip with the tract though. We’ve heard of people being greatly offended by receiving a tract instead of rather than in addition to a tip.

Walking around the block

I like to go for several walks a day. Not only is it a way to break up the day and get outside it is also good exercise. While working from home during COVID-19 its been particularly important to get up, stretch my legs and get a change of scenery.

One time early on in COVID-19 lock downs i met a woman in the neighborhood who was literally scared of death. She was asking about death rates in our city. She calmed down enough to let me share the Gospel and give her a tract.

Today while walking near this new apartment complex one of the workers was standing outside taking a break. I asked “did you get one of these?” and handed him a Jesus is King tract. He took it and was reading it as I walked off. You see sharing the gospel can be very easy to just hand someone a tract.

Gift Card display

Can you spot the tract? I left some on this gift card rack on a recent trip to the store. I’ll note that Thank You and Greatest Gift tracts go well here. Who knows. Maybe someone would not only read it themselves but be encouraged and give the tract with a gift card.
