Trip to the mall

Sometimes (ok, frequently) we take trips to the mall just for evangelism. Well, technically we are there to have lunch or walk around or something. You get the point. Hang out there and then share the Gospel, “As You Go”. So the last three Wednesday nights we have gone to two different malls – alternating weeks. Two weeks ago we spoke with a young lady at the Starbucks counter while I got a cup of iced tea. So naturally, we shared the Gospel with her – “As You Go” to get iced tea!

Turns out she is a Muslim. But she was very open to talking with us. I offered her a New Testament which intrigued her. But she said she could not take it while she was working. So I said I would just leave it on the counter where we had been sitting and then she could pick it up from there. She agreed.

So last night we returned. She was amazed that not only did we remember her, but we remembered her name. We have a little trick for that. If you carry a smart phone with you, use the note application to save names of people that you talk to. Otherwise, carry a note pad. I prefer to use the Evernote app on my phone because it will also sync the notes up to my computer. Whatever you use to remember, it will be a wonderful blessing to be able to pray for people you have witnessed to. You can also add their name to our prayer list at www.bezeugen.org/names/.

Anyway, when we saw her we asked if she had read the New Testament that we gave her. She said, “sadly no, when I got done working and went to get it, someone else had picked it up.” We asked if she would like another copy and she said yes. So I went to my car and got two more copies to leave with her. One to keep. One to give away!
