Trick or Tract!

A lot of stores are selling bags for trick or treaters to use on Halloween. If you want to put the two Bezeugen Halloween tracts out before then, slip them into these bags before they are purchased.! I’ve put a few in some as I stopped briefly at the displays. Even Halloween gift bags like these tracts! Take advantage of this day by getting a tract out that talks about keeping the Ten Commandments and one that speaks about God’s name being holy!

The Everyday Club Report For The Month Of September

Hi Everyday Club Members,
It’s time to report about how you have done in sharing your faith this past month. We would like to welcome you to the first Everyday Club report on the As You Go blog, where we encourage you to witness “As You Go”. For those of you who have posted on Pastor Steve Sanchez’ blog, we pray that we can be a blessing as well. I found out about the Bezeugen Tract Club through his blog. I have always used tracts, but I started giving out more when I joined the tract club. Pastor Steve’s postings about the use of the million dollar bills and his “E-Vangie Tales” have greatly encouraged me. So, how did you do in September? Did you meet your goals? Did you preach in the open air, go to a big event for tract distribution, or have some great one on ones? Please leave your comment. What a privilege we have to share our faith everyday!

Yours In Christ,
Scott

New Halloween Tracts

In October’s tract club mailing are new tracts for the Halloween season. Some may ask “Tracts for Halloween?”
These tracts can open up conversations about Jesus, the law, the afterlife, spiritual subjects, and eternity. Halloween is already being promoted in the stores. These displays and promotions are great places to leave these tracts.
The “Happy Halloween” tract highlights the word hallow in Halloween on the front. It talks about God’s name being hallowed and holy. The other Halloween tract asks the question “Can you name the top ten Halloween costumes for children?” It gives the list on the back and then asks about naming the Ten Commandments. I don’t like to wish people “Happy Halloween”, but we can use this topic to start conversations than can lead souls to the Saviour!

Chat

There are plenty of websites that allow you to use chat to talk with a representative at theCapture company. So after you have asked your question or completed your business, why not offer them the Gospel. In this chat, I offered a copy of The Truth May Impact Your Opinion booklet.

So, next time, “As You Go” to the chat, be sure to share the Gospel. You could give them a link to any of the tracts at www.bezeugentractclub.org as well!

The Everyday Club

On January 1, 2004, Pastor Steve Sanchez made a commitment to personally share the 2013-09-17 13.09.07Gospel everyday. This started a series of BLOG posts which he titled the Everyday Club where he invited other Christians to make a commitment to personal evangelism. Each person can commit to however much (or little) evangelism that they want to do. This evangelism comes in the form of handing out tracts, one on one conversations, going door to door and even open air preaching. The idea is to follow the Lord’s direction and share the Gospel Everyday!

A couple of years ago, Pastor Steve approach me about partnering together between the Bezeugen Tract Club and the Everyday Club. Since the Bezeugen Tract Club provides 30 FREE Gospel tracts per month, this equips people with the resources to be able to share the Gospel Everyday. The partnership worked out great and provided many mutual referrals. We have received a number of new tract club members due to the partnership. And I presume a number of our tract club members have also joined the accountability of the Everyday Club.

In September 2013, Pastor Steve announced that “Due to the changes in my life, specifically, my move to Texas to plant a church, I will not be moderating The Everyday Club.” While it saddened me to read this news, the Lord gave me an idea that we could pick up this club and run with it. Our ministry has adopted the acronym SPREAD where the E stands for Equip. But, I realized that the E also stands for “Everyday”! So after spending some time in prayer and then verifying the logisitcs, we have decided to move the Everyday Club to the Bezeugen Ministries As You Go BLOG!

What is The Everyday Club?

This is an evangelistic Club where you make a goal to share your faith everyday through tracts, personal witnessing or open air preaching. You make your own personal goal and report on it at the monthly Everyday Club post I write on the first of each month. The minimum goal would be to hand out one tract a day, but you can make whatever goal you want.

The Club’s purpose is to allow you an opportunity to set an evangelistic goal and monitor your progress and faithfulness to that goal. This is not a legalistic prescription or a vow; it’s simply a personal goal. Sometimes you will fall short, other times you’ll hit it.

My own personal goal is to share the Gospel Everyday with someone. Some days this might be to just hand out a single tract or have a brief conversation with someone. Other days this might be to take a group and go door to door, do a college campus outreach or do an outreach at a football game. Regardless, I simply want to be sharing my faith Everyday.

At Bezeugen Ministries we have adopted “As You Go” to mean to simply share the Gospel with people As You Go to the store, to school, to work, or simply As You Go about your day. This “As You Go” BLOG was created to provide simple ways to share the Gospel As You Go.

Today joining the Everyday Club is easier than ever. Simply go to the Everyday Club Facebook group or the Everyday Club on MeWe and request membership! Rather than monthly posts seeking comments, the Everyday Club is now a live group of people all across the United States and Canada reporting on their witnessing encounters and encouraging one another. You are welcome to join! If you are not already a member of the Bezeugen Tract Club, we encourage you to enroll so that you’ll get 30 FREE tracts a month from us!

Pastor Steve, we thank you for your commitment to share the Gospel Everyday. We thank you for the encouragement you have provided all of us over the years of running the Everyday Club. We pray that we can carry this on in the spirit of humility that you have layed forth for us!

Witnessing At Walmart On A Friday Night

You don’t have to go very far to find witnessing opportunities when there is a Walmart around. Everyone goes there! When shopping with my family on Friday night, I had a stack of Bezeugen tracts and Mancards in my hand. I gave several Football Trivia tracts to guys as I would ask “Did you get your Football Trivia tract?”. Then I would say the first four questions deal with football, but the fifth one is spiritual. A man by the name Lewis said that he was all into the game and would read the tract later. At one place in the store, I gave out 5 to men that were walking by. I don’t stand in one place for very long because it could draw attention from management. I approached two men with the same approach with the Football Trivia tract. I also said that one day we will all stand before God. One agreed with me. When I asked their names, they showed that they were Muslims. I told them mine and went on my way with them holding the tracts! I gave a Mancard to a Hindu man named Gosem. This is one of my favorite tracts to give to Hindu men.
I gave one to Cedric, who said the he was a Christian. A couple that saw me talking to him though that I worked there. Tyesha asked me where the velveeta cheese was. Being familiar with that area because of shopping for my wife at times, I took them right to it. After we got there, I told her and Vero that I didn’t work there. I gave both of them tracts! (I did the same thing at another store before!)
Opportunities are everywhere to share the Gospel. All one has to do is look for them any place where people are. Most will take a tract. Some may ask questions. The Good Person Test can be used if the person has time to talk. If someone rejects a tract, live by this rule : For every reject, there is someone around the corner that will take a tract. Rejections should encourage us, not discourage the ones who are trying to win souls! He that winneth souls is wise! – Proverbs 11:30
What are you waiting for?

Herbert, McDonald’s WiFi, And The Law

We preach at the Claiborne Parish Detention Center three Wednesdays every month. I look for witnessing opportunities after service, usually at a McDonald’s or convenience store. I stopped at the McDonald’s drive-thru in Farmerville tonight, which is 30 minutes from home. As I was waiting, I noticed a man standing by the parking area. I parked when I got my order. I gave him a Football Trivia tract. I told him that it had 4 questions about football and the 5th one was spiritual. I said that one day that we are going to die just like all football players. I asked him how was he getting to Heaven. He said that someone had asked him that question before. I thought that it may have been recently, but he said that it was 10 years ago! I quoted 1 John 5:13 to him
(These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God). I gave him the good person test, taking him through 3 of the Ten Commandments. He said that he would be guilty based on those 3. I asked him to read 1John 5 and Romans 10. I pray that Herbert really thinks about eternity and what Jesus has done so that he can go to Heaven.

Tract Holder Idea

I keep my tracts in phone cases. I found this “clever wallet” at the Dollar Tree. It holds 26 business card tracts. I tried 30, but it was a little packed. This will be easy to fit in a front pocket. It’s essential to keep tracts on you to witness……as you go!

Damon And The Football Trivia Tract

Last Saturday while my wife went to Cato’s, my youngest son and I went to Big Lots. Before going in, we approached an employee who was taking a cigarette break. I offered him the new football trivia tract, which is in the September’s supply of tracts. His name is Damon. He said that he liked football. When presenting this tract, I’ll say that it has 4 trivia questions about football. The 5th one deals with what we have in common with all football players. This opens the door to talk about the spiritual. Damon said that he thought that he was going to heaven. I explained the difference between thinking and knowing. I quoted 1 John 5:13. He said that he was thinking about the things that we talked about. He wanted to get his children in church. I pray that he turns to The Lord soon! !

I like using Bezeugen tracts because they help in a witnessing encounter to swing from the natural to the spiritual. In his message “Hell’s Best Kept Secret”, Ray Comfort talks about not shining a flashlight in the sinner’s eyes. This would be saying things like “Jesus loves you” and “Repent or else!” You have to turn the light on slowly so that the sinner can see that he or she has broken God’s law. This is what tracts and using the the Ten Commandments do. What a way to witness! Turn the light on slowly so people can see their transgression. Take them through the law of God to mirror their violations against a holy God. Show them what Jesus did so that our fine was paid in full through his blood. When you have finished talking, that person still has a tract and prayerfully, will be convicted by the Gospel message to turn to Jesus with a real repentance that will give him or her eternal life in Heaven!
